Turmeric supplements have an absorption problem. Curcumin – the compound responsible for turmeric's documented anti-inflammatory effects – absorbs poorly when taken alone. Studies show bare curcumin powder reaches maybe 1–2% absorption. This formula addresses that in two ways.

The 800mg of full-spectrum turmeric powder carries the complete polyphenol profile – curcuminoids plus the supporting plant matrix they naturally occur in. The additional 100mg of 95% curcuminoid extract delivers a concentrated, research-anchored dose on top. Together they replicate the approach used in clinical turmeric research more closely than a single-source formula does.

Why BioPerine® changes the equation.

BioPerine® (10mg, 95% piperine from black pepper) inhibits the liver enzymes that break down curcumin before it reaches full circulation – the same enzymes that make plain curcumin absorb so poorly. Research shows piperine can increase curcumin bioavailability by up to 2000%. Without it, most of what you swallow passes through. Take with food; dietary fat improves absorption further.

What curcumin actually does.

Curcumin modulates NF-κB and COX-2 – the two central switches of the body's inflammatory response.
